Search Painesville Court Records

Painesville City, Ohio, Inmate Search

An inmate search is the act of checking a jail roster or record for inmate information. It helps people determine whether an individual is incarcerated or review an incarcerated person’s recorded jail information. A person can conduct an inmate search online through an official search resource, by phone, or in person (in certain cases).

Painesville City does not operate a city jail. Instead, the city uses the county jail to incarcerate individuals arrested by its law enforcement officers. The Lake County Sheriff’s Office (through the Corrections Division), which operates the Lake County Jail (commonly known as the Lake County Adult Detention Facility), where inmates are housed in Painesville City, provides an online, public-facing inmate search resource. Interested persons can use this resource to look up an inmate’s basic booking details, such as name, DOB, photograph, booking number/date, and charges.
